A new beginning

Have you ever wanted a job so badly for such a long time, and then you finally got it? I imagine this is what a dog who chases cars feels like when it finally catches a car. It doesn’t know what to do!
A few weeks back I started a job that I have wanted for about 2 years now. Its for a company called ZippyKid, its a WordPress managed hosting company. Currently I am doing WordPress support while I learn under some extremely smart guys! My previous job that I was full time at I have been doing for about 12 years now, I was a landscaper, by now I know everything there is to know about landscaping which means not many challenges are left. Now in my new job, I am the new guy, the greenhorn. Just from the last few weeks I have learn more than if i took 5 classes in school, which is great, but also alot of work to try to keep all that information down and not just let it go in one ear, and out the other..

This is a new beginning for me, and exciting one, and unknown one. This is where I should put an inspirational quote I googled, but honestly I got nothing. All I got is the feeling you get when you try something you never tried before.. To quote my dear friend Jessica Redfield, “What’s the worst that can happen?” and “If you are going to do it, you might as well make it EPIC!”

And that’s what I am going to do, going to make this new beginning and EPIC one. I for one cant wait to see where Ill be in a few months alone.

So I’m 30.. Now what?

Today I turn 30, people have been warning me about this day since I was 25. What are you going to do? What if you aren’t married? Will you still act like a kid?
All valid questions, I’ve never been afraid of turning 30, or “getting old”, people who know me know that I’m getting a late start at “Adult Life”. I’ve never been more excited in my life, just like huge ears in high school I’m starting to finally grow into myself. I’ve learned a lot over the last few years about how to be a good person, how to be there for people, and more importantly, how can I help make this world a better place.
I’ve started this blog to talk about that stuff I love, the things that keep me from feeling my age, the awesome people that surround me. Gonna try to make this a weekly thing so long as you guys dont get bored of me. And if you have make it this far into this first post, I hope you join me on this journey, I don’t know where it’s going but I’ll let you know when we get there!
